More people are being diagnosed with Oral Cancer then ever before. But surprisingly, research shows this increase is not due to the traditional risk factors of DRINKING, SMOKING or use of CHEWING TOBACCO.
A new reason for concern
Oral Cancer is now being found in a younger population of men and women who don’t smoke or Drink heavy. One reason for this increase in people under the age of 40 is due to the exposure of the HPV – 18 virus, known collectively as the ” human papilloma virus “. Not to be mistaken for the HIV virus. The HPV virus can spread by intimate contact, including kissing. That is why the Centers for Disease Control recommends that all patients over the age of 17 be screened annually for Oral Cancer.
CPAP is not only uncomfortable it’s also now shown in a a new study that prolonged use of CPAP masks lead to slight shifts in jaw and position of teeth along with other craniofacial changes. Previous studies have already reported midfacial hypoplasia in children using CPAP and in as little use as 2 years.

Keeping our teeth their whitest is a lot harder than it sounds. With all the coffee, wine, smoking and other foods that have the ability to stain our teeth on a daily basis, even proper maintenance sometimes leaves them a little lackluster. Teeth whitening is an excellent way to restore the natural color of your teeth or even make them whiter than your natural color if you would like.
